At Mon Ami B & B, you will be hosted by Pat Sparks, former Chef/Owner of Penelope’s Restaurant Française in Tucson. Before owning a restaurant, Pat worked for several years in a test kitchen where she developed recipes for various food clients. Her experience in the food arena is quite varied. It has provided her with a great appreciation for and ability to take in stride most special requests from guests. In addition to her B & B, Pat also taught at the University of Arizona before recently retiring from that position – her area of expertise, food, of course. “I really enjoy the guests I have met and continue to meet who stay at the B & B. It has been my great fortune over these last 20 years to have had a small part in your visit to Tucson. I love making you breakfast and enjoying the conversations, we have over that meal. Thank you so much for all your kind words and great reviews. It has truly been my pleasure.”
Although an east coast native, she has been a desert resident since 1985, but whenever she visits, her native Maryland, you will find her at the ocean at least once during the visit and enjoying those Maryland blue crabs as much as possible. “We don’t have the seafood or the beaches here in the Southwest, but we do have fabulous mountains, desert landscapes and the most beautiful sunsets the eye can behold.”
Pat also enjoys the garden that she has helped create at the B & B. It is such a relaxing place to unwind after a day’s events and just enjoy the quiet and peacefulness.
